Hiking fun for the whole family! Routes to the most beautiful hiking destinations in the Harz Mountains are awarded with this unique stamp hunt for the Harzer Wandernadel. There are 222 stamp points spread throughout the Harz Mountains which are waiting to be found. Some partly on well-known hiking trails such as the Harzer-Hexen-Stieg, some partly in places with breathtaking views. But always combined with an unforgettable experience in nature where hikers get to discover the Harz according to the motto; "The way is the destination".

Equipped with our hiking pass and the accompanying hiking maps, you can go on a discovery tour through the nature around Blankenburg (Harz). There are already seven stamping points along the Devil’s Wall (Teufelsmauer), around the Regenstein, at the Obermühle and on the Herzogsweg. On hiking tours through the Bode Gorge or the Upper Harz there are many other stamps on the way to becoming the Hiking Emperor.
Once you can demonstrate that you have all 222 stamps in your hiking passport you have the right to be awarded the coveted title Harz Hiking Emperor (Harzer Wanderkaiser). Made from original Harz rock your achievement award is unique and therefore has a collector's value. The Emperors are also listed in an official ranking and meet once a year in the Harz Mountains.

But even less diligent hikers are also rewarded. The Harzer Wandernadel badges in bronze, silver and gold as well as the hiking king are awarded starting from 8 stamps. Themed badges on the Harzer Hexenstieg, the Harzer Grenzweg or “Goethe im Harz” expand the passion for collecting. The stamp hunt is particularly popular with families with children. In this way, even somewhat reluctant wanders become enthusiastic landscape detectives. There is a special award for hiking princesses and princes (up to 11 years) which require 11 stamps and can be quickly collected on a holiday in Blankenburg (Harz).

The Harz hiking badges as well as the hiking pass and hiking maps are available from the tourist information.
