Halberstadt Zoo

For 50 years, the Halberstadt zoo has been part of the delightful Spiegelsberge Landscape Park and attracts many visitors each year. There are 75 different species and over 250 animals to be discovered and observe here on an area of approx 10 hectares. At the zoo you can see wolves, kangaroos, raccoons and meerkat within a spacious and natural-looking environment which offer visitors different insights into the natural behaviour of animals. The enclosures and facilities are also accessible by wheelchair.

Opening times: Open daily from 9.00. The zoo closes from 01 April until 30 September at 19.00 and from the 01 October until 31 March at 17.00.

Hexentanzplatz Zoo

On the edge of the nature reserve "Bode Gorge" under 200-year-old beech and oak trees the zoo was built in 1973 on the Hexentanzplatz. From the very beginning the central concern in the design of the park was to consistently show only those animals that are or were native to the forests of the Harz Mountains.

Westerhausen Zoo

A stone's throw from Blankenburg (Harz) is the town of Westerhausen. Here among other things is an animal enclosure, which has a petting zoo and a wide variety of animal species such as lamas, bears, fallow deer, pot-bellied pigs, kangaroos and monkeys all on a 6.5 hector zoo.

Christianental Wildlife Park

Approximately over 250,000 people visit the wildlife park every year. Visitors are greeted by a family-friendly wildlife park that is open all year round and has spacious natural enclosures surrounded by unspoilt trees. Here you see day and night birds of prey, raccoons, lynxes, marten, wild cats and in the pet enclosure goats, sheep and dwarf rabbits. The attractiveness of the wildlife park is constantly increased by the employees, the members of the support association and their many helpers. Recently new aviaries, a petting zoo for the youngest visitors have been built and the wildlife park got a new face.
